Apricots are a good source of carotenes, iron, fiber, and potassium. They contain
carotenes such as lycopene and lutein. These carotenes give fruits and vegetables
their yellow, orange, and red colors. They are especially beneficial in preventing
cancer, macular degeneration, and heart disease.
